Composition of Vitapect-3 :

     As a result of implemented studies the largest reduction of the specific activity in children was achieved when using Vitapect-3 during their recuperative holidays abroad. That reduction reached to 45-60 % and sometimes 90%. Such large reduction was the result of the supervision of the Vitapect-3 intake as well as fully uncontaminated foodstuffs and correct food allowance.

     The large reduction is also observed during children recuperative holidays in Belarussian sanatoria. The application of Vitapect-3 gives a 40-60% reduction. It is also the result of the supervision of the Vitapect-3 intake, uncontaminated foodstuffs and correct food allowance.

     The most difficult situation is observed in villages of radiocontaminated territories. The staff of the Institute performs the measurements of children with the help of spectrometers of human internal radiation and give Vitapect-3 to schools and infant schools. After a month they perform the measurements once again to show the efficiency of pectin cures. After the second measurement it is evident which reduction took place when using Vitapect-3. In the villages located in contaminated districts the average decrease of radionuclide contents in the organism reaches 30 % with local food if children do not eat forest products. But when using mushrooms, berries and game the level remains the same or even increases.

     The same situation took place in Ukraine during spring 2006. The scientific centre for radiation medicine of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine performed measurements in the villages of Polessye district of Kiev region of Ukraine. The decrease of the specific activity after the application of powdered Vitapect reached 26-33%. The same results were received by the Ukrainian colleagues in 2008.
